In 1963, the Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® recognized the need to provide youth with enriching cultural and social opportunities. That year, the chapter launched the first Sub-Deb Clinic for girls ages 13–17, followed by the inaugural Debutante Ball on January 25, 1963. A decade later, in 1973, the program was expanded through the introduction of Alpha Kappa Alpha Project Touch, with the mission of guiding young women toward becoming mature, responsible, well-adjusted, and poised adults.

The Cotillion is a formal ball sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter, where young women are formally presented to society by their parents or guardians. The Cotillion represents the culmination of activities centered on health and wellness, education, leadership and career development, cultural enrichment, and community service. Together, these experiences are designed to motivate and empower participants to grow academically, professionally, and culturally.

Each activity is intentionally planned to provide meaningful and lasting learning opportunities. The members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter remain dedicated to ensuring this program is a transformative and memorable experience for every Debutante.

Through this shared journey, we seek to foster personal growth, social confidence, and lifelong values that extend well beyond the program.
